DAY 28

Question:  Do I think of others as children of God?
Read: Mosiah 4:14-21, D&C 88:123-125
Ponder: What relationships - in my family or among my friends - can I improve by following the Savior’s example?
How can I begin to strengthen those relationships?

If you only had two minutes to spend with a loved one before he or she dies. What would you say? Would there be overdue "thank you's" to express?  How long has it been since you have said "I love you"?  If given another chance with this person what would you have done differently?  It is not too late!!!  Now is the time to work on our relationships as we build them for the eternities.

"The home is what needs reforming.  Try today, and tomorrow, to make a change in your home by praying twice a day with your family. ...Ask a blessing upon every meal you eat.  Spend ten minutes...reading a chapter from the words of the Lord in the [scriptures]. ...Let love, peace, and the Spirit of the Lord, kindness, charity, sacrifice for others, abound in your families.  Banish harsh words, ...and let the Spirit of the Lord take possession of your hearts.  Teach to your children these things, in spirit and power.
(Joseph F. Smith, Gospel Doctrine
5th ed., SLC: Desert Book Co. 1939, p.302.)

"Be one who nurtures and builds. Be one who has an understanding and a forgiving heart, who looks for the best in people. Leave people better than you found them." ~Marvin J. Ashton
